5/8" x 3/4" x 1/2" Adaptor for Outside Bib Tap Garden Hose Pipe Connector

So glad I found this adapter. I have looked all over for the right size fitting for my outside tap (1950/60's). It's such a simple and clever device. My plastic adapter from Wilko's split and leaked when I overtightened it. Can no longer buy a replacement from Wilko's. Found this little beauty by accident. The 5/8" size is hard to come across. This adapter fits perfectly and best of all is brass. No more leaks and no more worrying and splitting. Service was great from start to finish. By speaking, to Mike Stevenson@ StevensonPlumbing, I was so pleased that I found the 5/8" x 3/4" x 1/2" Outside Tap Connector. Mike was very thorough with this particular subject and he explained to me the difference between the tap connectors of older outside ‘Bib Tap’ & ‘Farmers Tap’ I spent lots of time on-line and send 8 x e-mails to varies hardware companies in the UK and Northern Ireland with pictures of my existing garden tap and also took the measurements of the tap mouth + thread area by using the Vernier Calliper. I did visited number of local hardware shops and other big companies in the market place, there was no luck at all. Shop keepers & shop managers could not find me a connector to fit my old garden tap. I waisted time & money on this issue. Finally, I've found an adaptor that fits both of my outside garden taps. I've bought two so I can wash the car on the driveway and water my garden at back. I have an older type garden tap with an imperial half inch thread. When I originally bought a hozelock hose it came with a black adapter that fitted. The white adapters are metric. A severe frost killed this off and I have not found this adapter even after searching for months. Perfect fitting if you are changing your leaking, unreliable and grossly overpriced Hozelock garden hose fittings to cheaper but very reliable brass. Hozelock nozzle fitting on my hosereel is a 5/8" BSP thread (no-one uses this in 2017!) This converter piece has a female 5/8" end which is ideal to convert the hosereel outlet to 3/4" tap thread to receive your leakproof brass nozzle.
