Fitted from one side, this Essex flange adds a 15mm compression pipe connection to a hot water cylinder. This is the no stop type, so you can extend your pipe into the cylinder as far - or as little as you like.

Essex flanges have been the perfect connector for hot water cylinders and closed tanks for over 90 years.

The popular Essex flange is the easiest and fastest method of making very sound tank and boiler connections. There is no need to get at the job through the top cap in a tank or cylinder because connections using Essex flanges can be made in awkward places by cutting a hole and fitting from one side only without the need to remove the vessel.

Essex flange

Bought this item, and it worked perfectly. I put in a half inch essex flange, and opened up the immersion heater top to help with implementation. As a result I did not have to make the inner hole as big as as the 1 and 5/16 inch on the guidelines. Fast delivery from vendor and they pointed me in the right direction re the correct flange.glynch (14 Aug 2019, 10:02)
