Gate Valves
Selection of brass gate valves, sizes up to 54mm Copper x Copper or 1 inch BSP Female x Female.
Gate valves are specifically engineered for applications involving water in low-pressure systems with pressures measuring only a few metres head (less than 1 bar). They are used to temporarily turn off water supplies for maintenance purposes.
In the open position, the gate ascends fully into the valve, creating an opening approximately equivalent to the size of the pipe installed in the valve. This design ensures unhindered water flow, as the valve imposes minimal restriction. Conversely, when the valve is closed, the gate descends, effectively sealing off the passage for water.
