Brass outside tap / hose union bib tap with built in double check valve (DCV) for backflow protection.

These type HUK1 taps are sometimes referred to as a bibcheck tap

Made to the British Standard BS1010-2.

Inlet has 1/2 Inch BSP thread (the most common size in the UK).

The tap outlet is suitable for standard garden hose pipe, or it can be replaced with a quick connect hozelock type fitting (available separately).

Decent replacement tap

Had to replace my outdoor tap as the external double check valve failed and they’re not available to buy anymore. Required around 15 wraps of PTFE tape so it would line up straight on the old fitting, and no leaks so far. The valve on this tap feels a lot better than the old Wilko tap it replaced.Andrew Burns (18 May 2024, 08:39)
