This brass thread adaptor connects modern 3/4 inch BSP (Hozelock / Gardena type) garden hose pipe quick connect fittings to the outlet of your older outside tap.

Both ends of the connector have a male 3/4 inch BSP outer thread. One end has a 5/8 inch BSP female inner thread (rare size), the other a 1/2 inch BSP female inner thread.

Great for old hose union bib taps with the less common 1/2 or 5/8 inch BSP size outlet threads.

Went to a local plumbing shop seeking a connector for my old tap. Didn't fit so I used Stevenson Plumbing's web site I found the connector after a few clicks. Delivered within a few days - best buy at a time when the weather is getting really dry again. Great service. les (17 Jul 2021, 14:21)

Mystery and problem solved

I was baffled by neither of two sizes of tap connector fitting the screw thread on my 1960s garden tap. Luckily I found the Stevenson website, which explained, with admirable clarity, the minefield of old and current garden taps.
